Hundreds of people have been evacuated from the Hatchet Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan due to major forest fire in the area. The Canadian government airlifted people from the reserve and surrounding areas. Some were taken as far away as Saskatoon, nearly 500 miles to the south. In total, about 1,100 people have been evacuated as ground and air crews battle the fire. "It is pretty smoky and it's pretty noisy with all these planes going back and forth," Ed Benoanie, the acting chief of the First Nation, told CBC News. Get the Story:
