The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will be hosting a roundtable and hearing this week.

A roundtable on Tuesday will focus on taxation in Indian Country. People who wish to attend can call Christiane Cardoza at 202-224-2251 or email roundtable@indian.senate.gov.

On Thursday, the committee will hold an oversight hearing on disaster preparedness in Indian Country. Tribes in New Mexico, Montana, Oklahoma, Washington, Nebraska and South Dakota have been affected by fires, severe storms, flooding, tornadoes and other disasters in the past few months.
