Crow Tribe accepts $74M as part of its water rights settlement





The Crow Tribe of Montana accepted $74 million as part of its water rights settlement with the state and the federal government.

The tribe will use the money to rehabilitate an irrigation system. Construction is set to begin this fall, The Billings Gazette reported.

The Crow Water Settlement Act of 2010 authorizes a total of $460 million to address water issues on the reservation.
