An auction house in England is selling photos of a 1939 meeting between the royal family and First Nations chiefs in Alberta, Canada.

One image shows King George VI and Queen Elizabeth along with Shot-on-Both-Sides, a chief from the Blood Tribe, and Yellow Horn, another Blood chief. Also pictured is a girl identified as "little Christine crowfoot."

According to newspaper archives, King George asked why the chiefs carried a framed picture of Queen Victoria. They told him it was in honor of the treaties they signed with her.

The photo is part of Lot 429a, a collection that is expected to fetch between US $156 to US $312 on Thursday.
