Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe ready to open a new hospital

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is getting ready to open a $109 million hospital and health center.

The 138,500-square-foot facility replaces an outdated facility on the reservation. It will house tribal health programs and the Indian Health Service.

"This is a complete state-of-the-art facility," Chairman Kevin Keckler told the Associated Press.

The targeted opening date is November 7.
