Tachi Yokut woman charged for pickax intimidation case

A member of the Tachi Yoku Tribe of California is facing several charges after a bizarre series of incidents on the Santa Rosa Reservation.

Raylene Mae Jeff , 34, was seen on the side of a road with blood smeared down her pants. She was arrested at the tribal elder center by deputies from Kings County, who then received a call from tribal police about a disturbance on the reservation.

Jeff apparently threw a pickax in the home of a couple on the reservation. She had previously argued with the couple because the wife is not a tribal member, the assistant sheriff said.

She is now facing charges of suspicion of intimidating a witness, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
