Chairman of White Mountain Apache Tribe disputes removal

Chairman Ronnie Lupe of the White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona says he won't leave office despite a court order.

Lupe was suspended by the tribal council last month but he refused to step aside. That prompted the tribal council to go to court.

Chief Judge Reagan Armstrong Sr. ordered Lupe to leave office. But he now claims the judge has been fired.

Lupe is being accused of failing to carry out decisions made by the full council.
