Increase in sightings of 'Bigfoot' in Navajo Nation mountains

There's been an increase in sightings of a "Bigfoot" creature in the Chuska Mountains of the Navajo Nation.

There have been sightings of the creature, or its footprints, in January 2011, November 2011 and January 2012. One man came across Bigfoot when he took his livestock into the mountains.

"My animals froze and I saw the thing walk over the hill,"Jerry Lewis told The Farmington Daily-Times through a Navajo interpreter. "It was taller than 8 or 9 feet, taller than the bushes, upright and hairy."

The Chuska Mountains, which span New Mexico and Arizona, have been a frequent location of Bigfoot sightings.
