Rick Santorum racks up two more Republican primary wins





Former U.S. senator Rick Santorum won Republican primaries in Alabama and Mississippi on Tuesday.

Santorum narrowly defeated Mitt Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts, and former House speaker Newt Gingrich.

“We did it again,” Santorum told supporters, The Washington Post reported.

Despite the latest losses, Romney said he is moving closer to winning the Republican nomination. According to The New York Times, he remains well ahead of Santorum and Gingrich in the delegate tally.
