The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has set a grand opening for the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel.

Starting next week, the tribe is hosting a series of soft openings for members, VIPs and other invited guests. The public will be able to enjoy the facility on May 12.

"There's a lot of things reflective of our culture," spokesperson Frank Cloutier told MLive. "We're really excited to showcase this to the public."

At 45,000 square-feet, the water park is the largest in the state. With other amenities, including a 243-room hotel, the facility is 110,000 square-feet.
