Tylynn Anderson has been crowned Miss Jicarilla Apache for the second year in a row.

Anderson, 19, is honored to represent the Jicarilla Apache Nation to the world. She's also proud to be a role model for youth.

"I'm going to college right now, and I hope kids can look up to me and say, "I can do it too,'" Anderson told The Farmington Daily Times.

Anderson said she will promote the preservation of the Apache language and urge young people to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
