Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe hosts festival during solar eclipse

The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Nevada is opening its reservation for a unique event that will culminate with a solar eclipse this Sunday.

The tribe agreed to host the Symbiosis Gathering, a six-day festival of music, workshops and performances. The event is taking place on previously closed land near Pyramid Lake.

“I have never been in that area because it has been closed for so long. It’s nice to see the tribe is opening up to complete strangers," Rachel Mosley, a member of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe, told KOLO-TV.
