Confederated Salish and Kootenai group wants another per cap

Members of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana are seeking another per capita payment.

In September, the tribe distributed half of a $150 million trust fund settlement. The payment came to $10,000 for each of the tribe's 7,580 members.

A group called the People’s Voice is now collecting signatures for a second per cap. At least 1,300 valid signatures are needed to schedule a referendum on the issue.
