Navajo Nation lacks adequate funding for new detention facility

The Navajo Nation boasts the largest detention facility in Indian Country but lacks funding to staff it.

The facility in Tuba City, Arizona, can house more than 130 inmates. The tribe, however, needs funding for about 110 officers and staff.
