First Nation goes to court to halt investment deal with China

The Hupacasath First Nation of British Columbia filed suit to stop a trade deal between Canada and China.

The lawsuit says the Canada-China Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act was negotiated without prior consultation. The band is worried that its resource rights will be harmed.

The investment deal has been controversial.
