Fashion designer Patricia Michaels of Taos Pueblo earned high marks for her design on the season opener of Project Runway on Thursday night. Michaels's dress was one of the top three on the runway. She was praised for creating her own pattern on the fabric and for adding interesting details, such as leather, to the design.
