Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council chooses new director

The Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council has named Cheryl Belcourt as its new executive director.

Belcourt is the widow of Gordon Belcourt, who ran the council until his death in July. She has worked alongside her late husband in advancing the agenda of the 11 tribes in Montana and Wyoming.

“I truly appreciate the hard work and support that Cheryl has provided to the MT WY Tribal Leaders Council over the years, and we look forward to a productive future as we move forward on many important issues,” Council Chairman Ivan Posey said in a press release.
