NCAI to elect new president at annual convention next month





The National Congress of American Indians will elect a new president at its annual convention next month.

Four candidates are in the running. They are: Brian Cladoosby, the chairman of the Swinomish Tribe of Washington; Joe Garcia (Ohkay Owingeh), who previously served two terms as president, Juana Majel-Dixon (Pauma Band), who currently serves as vice president; and George Tiger, the chief of the Muscogee Nation in Oklahoma.

The campaign will conclude at NCAI's 70th annual convention, which takes place October 13-18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
