Editorial: Alaska Native corporation on the hunt for some oil

"It’s good to see Doyon, Limited back at the petroleum exploration business in the flatlands west of Nenana.

Almost four years ago, the company drilled a well in the area to search for natural gas. It found signs of petroleum — too little to produce but plenty to provide encouragement.

So the company started work this winter on a road extension to a new drill site several miles to the west.

This time, the company is focused on oil rather than natural gas."
