Fire damages timber facility owned by Hoopa Valley Tribe

A fire damaged a timber business owned by the Hoopa Valley Tribe of California.

No one was hurt in the blaze at the Hoopa Forest Industries. But an administrative building, some oil drums, equipment and vehicles were damaged, The North Coast Journal reported.

"It's not going to shut our logging operation down," Vice Chairman Byron Nelson Jr., told the paper.

The fire consumed five acres.
