Senate Indian Affairs Committee schedules hearing on two bills

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a legislative hearing next week.

Two bills are on the agenda. They are:
S. 235, to provide for the conveyance of certain property located in Anchorage, Alaska, from the United States to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. The House Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs held a hearing on H.R.623, the House version, in May.

S. 920, to allow the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in the State of Minnesota to lease or transfer certain land.

The hearing takes place at 2:30pm on Wednesday, July 17, in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
