Ousted Northern Cheyenne Tribe leader awaits BIA decision

John Robinson, the ousted president of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, is waiting to see whether the Bureau of Indian Affairs signs off on his removal.

The tribal council voted 9-1 to remove Robinson. They accused him of firing an employee without providing due process.

The council's decision will be reviewed by the BIA, the Associated Press reported. Incidentally, Robinson was accused of failing to send a complaint to the BIA before firing the employee.
