Makah Nation works on golf course in plan to grow economy

The Makah Nation of Washington is planning to build a nine-hole golf course, The Peninsula Daily News reports.

The tribe hopes to attract more people to the reservation with the course. Recreation and tourism are a big part of the tribe's economy.

The tribe's tourist-related business are expected to generate $7.2 million this year, the tribe's enterprise business manager said.
