Nooksack Tribe will move forward with mass disenrollments

The Nooksack Tribe of Washington is moving forward with disenrollment proceedings against 300 people.

The tribe is planning to remove 306 people from the rolls. A decision from a tribal appeals court on Friday appealed to halt the proceedings.

However, the court clarified that its decision only affects the six plaintiffs. That means the remaining 300 will be on the chopping block again.

The tribe contends the 306 were improperly enrolled. They say they are being targeted due to their mixed Indian-Filipino heritage.
