Spirit Lake Nation holds another recall election after tie vote
The Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota will hold another recall election for a council member after the first one resulted in a tie, WDAZ reports.
Tribal members in the Saint Michael district voted 93-93 in a recall against Mardell Lewis. She was accused of abusing her authority and mistreating her constituents, charges that she denies.
The second recall takes place Friday.
