Change the Mascot spot features President Obama, Rep. Cole

The Change the Mascot campaign unveiled a new radio ad that features President Barack Obama and Rep. Tom Cole (R-Oklahoma), a member of the Chickasaw Nation.

Obama entered the debate when he said he'd think about changing the name of the Washington professional football team if he were the owner. Cole, who is one of two enrolled tribal members in Congress, has long been a critic of the mascot.

"The name is just simply inappropriate, it's offensive to a lot of people," Cole says in the ad.

The ad, titled "Bipartisan," will air on Sunday ahead of a game between Washington and Dallas in Texas.
