Washington owner to meet with NFL ahead of Oneida meeting

The owner of the Washington team is set to meet with the NFL, ahead of a previously scheduled meeting with the Oneida Nation of New York.

Owner Dan Snyder has adamantly refused to change his team's racist name. He defended the mascot in a letter to fans that perpetuated questionable claims about the alleged Indian ancestry of the first head coach and made a dubious link to the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Snyder will meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, The Washington Post said.
