Mescalero Apache Nation elects Danny Breuninger as president
The Mescalero Apache Nation of New Mexico elected Danny Breuninger Sr. as president.
Breuninger defeated Ben Martinez by a vote of 697 to 476, The Ruidoso News reported.
Gabe Aguilar won election as vice president. He defeaed incumbent Sandra Platero by a vote of 611 to 568.
Voters also elected four council members.
