Group seeks recall of troubled chairman of Lumbee Tribe

Members of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina are seeking to recall Chairman Paul Brooks.

Brooks is facing a misdemeanor assault charge for an incident involving a tribal council employee. He's also been held in contempt of court for failing to release certain documents to the council.

Brooks also has faced criticism from the council about his use of housing funds. If he is removed from office, Vice Chair Charles Bullard would take over.
