Seminole Tribe objects to unauthorized 'Scalp 'Em' shirt

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is criticizing an unauthorized t-shirt that surfaced after the Florida State University Seminoles won a championship last week.

The tribe supports the use of its name for the team. But the "Scalp 'Em" t-shirt is stereotypical, a spokesperson said.

The shirt doesn't feature the school's symbol or use the tribe's name. But FSU has asked RowdyGentlemen.com to remove the unauthorized item due to its "offensive" nature, the school's vice president for university relations told Indian Country Today.
