A major settlement between the Oneida Nation and the state of New York is facing a lawsuit in state court.

Two towns are challenging the agreement, which addresses a range of land-into-trust, taxation, jurisdiction, gaming and other issues. The suit was filed in state court and was moved to federal court but is now back in state court, The Oneida Daily Dispatch reported.

Other communities, however, support the agreement.The town of Sherrill, which once was odds at the tribe, hopes to gain about $163,000 every year to offset taxation issues.

Two counties also voted to ratify the agreement but it has yet to be approved in federal court
