Cherokee Nation to break ground on expansion for health center





The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma will break ground on an expansion of one of its health centers.

The Wilma P. Mankiller Health Center in Stilwell will see a 28,000 square-foot addition as part of the expansion. The facility opened in 1995.

The tribe is spending $100 million to improve health services within its territory.
