Audio from SCIA's hearing on transportation in Indian Country

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee held a hearing this morning to discuss transportation issues in Indian Country.

In 2012, Congress authorized a two-year transportation program. With the law set to expire in September, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Montana), the chairman of the committee, wants to hear from tribes and Alaska Natives about their priorities.

"It is a critical reauthorization for Indian Country," Tester said. "We all know that."

The hearing lasted about 90 minutes. Audio can be found on the Indianz.Com SoundCloud.
