Poarch Creeks to choose new chairman to replace Buford Rolin





The Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama is holding an election on June 7.

The tribe will be choosing a new leader for the first time in eight years. The incumbent, Buford Rolin, is retiring after decades of service on the reservation.

Vice chair Stephanie Bryan and Treasurer Robert “Robbie” McGhee are vying for the position. Two council seats are also up for grabs.
