Authorities in Manitoba announced charges for the murder of Myrna Letandre, a 36-year-old woman from the Pinaymootang First Nation.

Letandre's family reported her missing in October 2006. Authorities say she had already been murdered by then but her body wasn't found until May 2013 at the house where she had been living.

The information about Letandre's murder came to light when Traigo Andretti, 38, was arrested in May 2013 for the murder of his wife. He's serving a life sentence in British Columbia for first-degree murder.

Andretti is now facing a second-degree murder charge for Letandre's death in September 2006. He's been transferred to Manitoba to face the new charge.
