Cobell attorneys schedule meetings with beneficiaries in Alaska

Attorneys for the $3.4 billion Cobell trust fund settlement will be meeting with beneficiaries in Alaska today.

Thousands of tribal members in the state have already received a share of the settlement. But the final payment has been delayed, partly due to problems with Interior Department records in Alaska.

The meeting today takes place 4 pm - 7 pm at The Rasmuson Conference Center, 3600 San Jeronimo Dr, in Anchorage.

Additionally, the Garden City Group, the administrator of the settlement is staffing a booth at the National Congress of American Indians mid-year conference today and tomorrow at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center.
