Big Valley Band reports success for second tire recycling event





Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians logo The Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians in California held its second tire recycling event in May.

The tribe collected more than 1,100 used car, truck and tire tractors. That's in addition to more than 650 that were collected during the first event in October 2013.

"The tribe is happy to provide support for removal of waste tires throughout the county and the cities of Lakeport and Clearlake," Chairman Anthony Jack said in a press release, The Lake County Record-Bee reported.

The tribe will continue to hold events twice a year.
