The Bureau of Indian Affairs approved a land-into-trust application for the Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington.

The property houses the new building of the Natural Resources Department. The application was approved soon after construction was completed, The Stanwood Camano News reported.

“We wanted to set the bar in our Natural Resources building,” Chairman Shawn Yanity told the paper, referring to a design that reflects traditional structures, makes use of natural light and includes a geothermal heating system.
