The Cedar Band of Paiute Indians in Utah has launched its own brand of wine.

Twisted Cedar wine is made from grapes grown in California. Proceeds will go to tribal social services and other programs.

“Every step along the way, we take things to the tribal council and we make sure that we’re saying and doing things the way they want them done,” Phillip Anderson, the regional account manager for the tribe, told Utah Public Radio.

Several tribes, mainly those in California, have gotten into the wine business.
