Meskwaki Tribe shocked by double murder of husband, wife

The Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa said it was "shocked and saddened" by the murders of a husband and his wife.

Gordon Lasley Sr. and Kim Lasley were found dead in their home on the reservation late Wednesday night. A suspect is reportedly in custody.

“The Sac and Fox Tribe is a very close knit community and we are all shocked and saddened by this,” Chairoman Judith Bender said in a press release that was sent to the local media. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all of those who are affected by this horrific event.”
