Northern Arapaho Tribe receives $157M trust settlement

The Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming has received a $157 million trust fund settlement.

The tribe is distributing 85 percent on a per capita basis. Checks for $6,300 are being mailed to about 9,700 members next week.

The settlement covers a portion of a long-running case involving mismanaged trust assets and trust funds on the Wind River Reservation. The Eastern Shoshone Tribe also received a settlement but distribution is being delayed due a political dispute.
