The Nisqually Tribe signed an agreement to develop a new park with the state of Washington. The 1,300-acre Nisqually State Park lies within the tribe's ancestral lands in the Mount Rainier foothills. It's close to the birthplace of Chief Leschi and serves as an important part of the salmon habitat. The park is expected to open in July 2015. Get the Story:
