Members of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana will soon see offers to sell their fractionated interests as part of the Land Buy-Back Program for Tribal Nations. The final appraisals will be completed in about two to three weeks, The Char-Koosta News reported. Offers could go out in August, employees with the tribe's lands department said at a public meeting earlier this month. The tribe signed a cooperative agreement to help facilitate sales on the Flathead Reservation. An estimated $7.3 million could go to landowners who participate in the program. Get the Story:
