President Bryan Brewer of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota has been suspended.

Brewer is accused of taking actions without the consent of the tribal council. He's also accused of mishandling a $5,000 donation to the tribe.

A tribal court judge will hold a hearing on July 17 to consider the charges. The tribal council will then vote on Brewer's position but it will take a two-thirds vote to remove him from office.
