Ten men charged for burning Indian woman alive in Paraguay

Ten men from have been charged with first-degree murder for the death of an Indian woman in Paraguay.

Adolfina Ocampos, 45, was from Tahehyi, a Guarani village. A prosecutor said she was sentenced to death by a local leader after being accused of witchcraft.

Ocampos was tied to a wooden pole and shot with arrows before being burned alive, the prosecutor said. The men who have been charged reportedly admitted their involvement.

ABC News in Paraguay published a picture of the men who were charged with the crime. Two were reported to be leaders of the village.
