The Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho fired one of its judges for alleged insubordination. Bruce Plackowski was in the second year of a four-year contract with the tribe. He was removed by the tribal council for reasons that haven't been detailed publicly but his lawyer indicated he was accused of accepting a bribe. "We don't think a judge can be insubordinate to anyone," attorney Tim Gresbeck. told KLEW last month. "Judges should have autonomy judges should be independent."
