Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival ready for big kick-off

The 29th annual Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival takes place this weekend in Oklahoma.

The event begins with the Red Earth Parade through downtown Oklahoma City at 10am on Friday. After a procession around the Myriad Botanical Gardens, hundreds of participants will head to the Cox Convention Center for the opening of the Red Earth Festival Art Market and the grand entry of the powwow.

The art market and powwow continue on Saturday and Sunday. Organizers expect about 30,000 visitors.
