The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of an Angus bull.

The animal was killed sometime over the weekend. Tom Hardcastle, the tribe's ranch manager, believes it was shot at close range with a small-caliber firearm.

"It's ridiculous for someone to do an act like that," Hardcastle told The Cherokee County News-Advocate. "It's just a cowardly way of doing things."

The tribe raises cattle and serves the beef at its Downstream Casino Resort.
