Makah Nation man charged for assault during attempted escape

A member of the Makah Nation of Washington has been charged for assaulting a federal officer.

Brandon Joseph Eaton allegedly bit and punched the officer during an attempted escape from the tribal jail on July 15. He was caught before he could get away, the indictment stated.

The incident occurred in Neah Bay, within reservation boundaries. The officer, Brandon Moss, is employed by the tribal police department.
