Minnesota Native News: Head of Minnesota Indian Affairs Council Steps Down
The Minnesota Indian Affairs Council is looking for a new executive director. Annamarie Hill Gutsch, a member of the Red Lake Nation, stepped down from the post after nine years, Minnesota Native News reported. She said she was most proud of the council's work on the Why Treaties Matter exhibit.

"That truly was a collaboration that represented the voices of the people on tribes and truly has been a vehicle for education reform," Gutsch told Minnesota Native News. The Minnesota Indian Affairs Council serves as a liaison between the 11 federally-recognized tribes and the state.
